A LITTLE STORY OF BELONGING

The Day the Sun Slept In

Early morning at Sunny's place. A picnic basket by the doorway, packed to the brim, a honey pot with its lid on sitting on top. Sunny's nose poking out into a grey morning, one raindrop landing on it.
PAGE 1 OF 14Somebody’s coming…

Sunny had been counting sleeps. Seven sleeps. Six sleeps. Five, four, three, two. And now, at last, no sleeps at all.

It was Beach Picnic Day.

She had packed the basket the night before. Sandwiches. Berries. One whole pot of honey for Fuzzby, with a lid on, for everyone else.

She poked her nose outside.

Plip.
